The Valley Goat course for March 11th 2007 consists of 3 connected loops. This provides short, medium and long options. The short course will comprise the first loop; the medium course the first part of the first loop, the second loop, and then the second part of the first loop; the long course will comprise the first part of the first loop, the first part of the second loop, the third loop, the second part of the second loop, and the second part of the first loop. The loop lengths will be approximately 3km, 5km, and 5km. The choice of which course to run can be made on the day of the event.
As in the past the event will have a mass start at 11 am. There will be electronic punching. Pre-registration is by sending your ecard number or ecard rental request to Mike Bertram, event director.
The special rules for this year are as follows:
- Anybody not pre-registering will have an extra minute added to their time.
- Anybody not clearing their ecard will also have an extra minute added to their time.
The event will start and finish at the Valley Forge National Historical Park parking area next to the Valley Forge Post Office. This is on the north side of route 23 at the west end of the Park. Registration will close at 10:45 am.
Sorry, there will be only the advanced course, no white or yellow level courses, but those courses are being run at Warwick on the 11th.
Please note that daylight saving time starts on the 11th March. Registration will close at 10:45 am so that I can organize the start. Please make sure you leave sufficient time to get to the event site, pay your fees, and to clear your ecard.
If you have questions either email Mike Bertram, event director or call 610-783-7036. (I will be away for 2 weeks between now and the event, so a response may be delayed).
