DVOA eBoard Usage Guidelines
DVOA's eBoard is open to all and is intended to provide a format for sharing, asking questions, complementing, and yes, even criticizing. There is no need to register before using, you can use a pseudonym or provide your real name, and providing an email address is purely optional.
However, please keep the following guidelines in mind when using the eBoard:
- No profanity
- Please do not use the eBoard to flame individuals. There are no orienteering professionals - we're all volunteers. You may not agree with someone else's approach, but they're most likely doing what they think is best and doing it to the best of their abilities.
- Constructive criticism is fine, personal attacks are not.
- Short descriptive subjects work best. Save the details for the body of the message.
It is not the intent of the webmaster nor DVOA's executive committee to play the role of censor, but they do reserve the right to delete any messages that do not follow the above guidelines.
Photo identification: In an attempt to stop spammers you will be asked to identify a photo each time you add a post. The photo is selected at random, but you must identify it correctly in order for your post to be successful. If you mis-identify the photo you will not receive any messages - your post will just disappear. The photos are all selected from DVOA's photo gallery.
Here are the photos used and their identifications:
